Many of my faves have been mentioned here. Good to see some love for Johnny Winter and Billy Gibbons, two bad-ass Texas axe guys.

I'll throw out Vernon Reid of Living Colour, who I always considered a shit-hot player and David Lindley, who hasn't done much in recent years (maybe he's just doing the studio thing I don't know) but is a master on just about anything with strings.

  3. Good pick. Living Colour also had one of the best under-rated drummers ... just how underrated? I can't even remember his name ... but he was damn good.

That band could have been so good but it just missed. I think it was a little too focused on politics. Rage Against the Machine gets away with it but even U2 would put out something catchy and non-political every now and then.

Will Calhoun is Living Colour's drummer. According to his website the band is still touring.

  5. Didn't know that. Curious to see if it's all the same people. I thought the lead singer went on to a new career. I'd pay to see them if they ever popped up locally. Talented group.

According to Wikipedia it's the same band - with a new bassist. It said singer Corey Glover is doing theatre stuff but has not left the band.

Muzz Skillings left the band in the early '90s and replaced by Doug Wimbish, who was a shit-hot bass player. Is he still in the band?
