Mostly, not all. But Manning's playoff record is not 9-11 by coincidence. He can't be counted on in the playoffs. History (and math) bear that out.

Also, Fox deserves all the criticism that can be thrown at him for his time management and playcalling late. And of course Del Rio should be embarrassed to show his face for the next few weeks.

I think this played out like Giants-packers five years ago. As the game went on, it became apparent to Fox that Manning was frozen and fatigued. The first thing that goes for an older QB in the cold is quick reaction. Fox had to work around this in the play calling but no one will talk about this because St. Peyton would actually be criticized.

Manning's playoff record doesn't SEEM that damning until you look at it knowing there were two Super Bowl appearances. So in 2006 and 2009 combined, he was 5-1.

4-10 otherwise. Though he's just one aspect of a team, etc., ugh.

Manning didn't play well.

But if that field goal had been blocked and returned for a touchdown, it wouldn't have made his performance better or worse.

He didn't play well because he didn't play well, not because the team he was playing for lost.
