    Putz.
Coaches don't care if you're a Christian or criminal, as long as you can play. Why is that so hard for some people to understand?

My theory: Not being able to play QB in the NFL = persecution because of faith. Someone please talk to the missionaries (or their families) in the field that have been tortured or killed, then reopen the discussion of persecution for faith. [/soapbox]

I pity Christians in general and specifically Christian quarterbacks; I hear there's a grocery bagger Bible thumper who won't ever get the chance to lead the Rams to the Super Bowl because the League conspires against his ilk.

    What's the other thing?

Usually when someone says "for one thing" they have something else.

Bodie: Give one good reason anyone would care about Gene Simmons opinion of Tim Tebow?

    (Yankee fan provides answer.)

    Bodie: Give me another reason!

It was in response to a (series of) question(s) in an interview with Radio.com:

    http://news.radio.com/2013/09/13/gene-simmons-tim-tebow-religion-football-interview/

Simmons is famous, and they got him to say something mildly controversial about someone else who is famous, and who people have strong opinions about.

It resulted in a link from Drudge, and likely more hits that any previous radio.com interview.

Tebow would never humble himself enough to play in the Arena League, his massive ego wouldn't allow it.

    Stubbornness = ego.

Bragging about his missionary trips. Ego.

Writing bible verses, a way of shining the spotlight on yourself. Ego.

    Another Tebow apologist.

He's a homophobic asshole. He'll never be a QB or a decent human.

That's true. When I think of utterly unredeemable husks of rotten flesh, Tim Tebow springs to mind immediately.

He should smoke a blunt and chill the fuck out, that would make him a better person.

Nah, he should drink heavily. That's more socially acceptable.

Hell, he could post on one of the threads we have devoted to drinking.

  11. Would it make Bodie feel better if Tebow was in a dead-end job? That woud show him.

It's unfortunate Reggie White never got his shot in the NFL because he was so over-the-top religious. The NFL. And there was this Christian bag boy named Warner that, if somebody would have given him a shot, might have made a decent QB.
