I know we have a movies thread, but this is the time of year when some great movies are coming out and I know at least a couple people on here get screeners.

The best movies I've seen so far this year are:

    1. Life Itself (Roger Ebert doc)
    2. Bad Words
    3. Gone Girl

Curious what others people have seen. A lot of good stuff is coming up.

    Gone Girl is up there.

Was Chef released this year or last? That's probably the best movie I've seen this year.

Oh, good, there's one to add to the list. I've wanted to see that for awhile.

    I did not like 'Chef.'

I cannot believe the love for 'Snowpiercer.' Is that sarcastic?

I haven't seen Snowpiercer, but I've seen at least two or three people in my Facebook feed have a similar reaction.

I've heard people say Boyhood is good, but way too long.

    Guardians of the Galaxy
    Captain America: Winter Soldier
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
    X-Men: Days of Future Past

Haven't seen Interstellar yet. Next week in IMAX. Also curious about Exodus, but I'll watch anything with Christian Bale.

I'm just not as cultured as others, so I'm sticking with the mainstream releases.
