Muschamp is going to defensive coordinator at Auburn per twitterz. Believe SI had the scoop.

I don't know if it was Staples or not on this one, but he was the first one I saw who had Muschamp getting fired after the South Carolina loss.

So about Lane Kiffin ... rehabilitated in full thanks to Saban. He's getting a big-time gig again soon. Where?

I think we'll have to wait for the second (or maybe third) round of the carousel, after one or two big-name college guys are snapped up by the NFL and unexpected openings occur.

I don't think Kiffin is rehabilitated quite in full just yet, in that I don't think many colleges would target him for a fairly 'leisurely' December job search. But if somebody bolts in mid-January and a top-15 team needs a HC right this minute, he might be pretty tempting.

Given Kiffin's history, either McCarthy or Belichick will resign in glory after winning the Super Bowl in a few weeks, and Kiffin will get that job.

I think Kiffin might be better suited to stay another year with Saban. I see it as something similar to what is going on with McDaniels with the Patriots.

You thought you were the greatest, now go spend some more time actually learning from the greatest.

Unless a decent program has an opening, Kiffin would be crazy to leave.

Some people are outstanding coordinators and it doesn't necessarily make them great head coach material, I wonder if Kiffin or the people who might hire him will ever recognize that.

Well, Kiffin is also young enough that he could be a coordinator for 5-7 more years and still have plenty of time for a 20-year coaching career.

Exactly, look at Pete Carroll. He bounced around for a while before he got traction. Now he is without a doubt one to the top ball coaches
around. Certainly Kiffin has already had a broader coaching resume that most. I would take him over say Bo Pellini any day.

    That's all.

I wonder if there are some kinds of incidents involving Pelini which haven't been made public.

There almost has to be more than meets the eye here.
