Yep. After all the stuff that came out over the weekend about the main roster being upset over NXT's success, people were saying TLC would be pretty damn good.

It wasn't. It had its moments, sure, but the show overall sucked.

And don't even get me started (again) on the Network issues.

I thought they were consciously trying to ramp up the energy, hence all of the dangerous high spots and blood in several matches, but the lack of interest in the event still showed how little that matters if the matches are built on shitty foundations. Plus, still too many run-ins, DQ finishes and other BS. Why should I care about Big Show interfering in a Cena match? Wyatt-Ambrose should be a bigger deal, but because their feud started as basically "well what do we do with these two?", I think it's tougher to buy into.

There's only so much the wrestlers can do in regards to "matching nxt" when they've in month long feuds that don't make sense and the crowd isn't as intimate or hot as NXT's crowd. I blame the writers and the bookers rather than the talent's best being lackluster. There's no way half the roster couldn't match or top Neville/Zayn if given that simple story and time. I submit AJ/Nikki was as good as Charlotte/Sasha and that's in spite of a Brie angle that makes no sense at all.

Which means, as par for the course for WWE, they'll start sabotaging NXT for having the gall to be as good as NXT.

3 hours and no mention of Bray or Ambrose? After they made it the main event?

Watching RAW now. This crowd HATES this show and rightfully so. During the New Day v. Goldust and Stardust match, the crowd started LOUDLY cheering for both CM Punk and NXT.
    That says a lot.
Let's think about this. On the main roster, who is an established character with an interesting storyline?
    1.) Ziggler. 2.) Cena. 3.) Rollins. 4.) Miz/Mizdow.
Meanwhile, everyone else is either in a dreadful storyline or a storyline meant to go nowhere.
The quality of the wrestling isn't poor, it's solid actually, but the plot to these shows is at, perhaps, it's worst point in decades. This is completely, totally, undeniably boring. That's worse than just shitty. That's not worth watching.

One issue, to be fair, is that when you really think about it, with all the programming they do, it really is very hard to come up with interesting storylines on a weekly basis. Considering that sitcoms and dramas may have 20- something hours of programming in a season, while the E has at least 260 hours, between Raw and Smackdown, plus other shows, and a larger amount of characters than a regular show, and it really isn't an easy task.

But the problem, though, is that they keep shooting themselves in the foot when they do come up with something interesting because they have their way of doing things, and anything that deviates from that is seen as a detriment, rather than an opportunity. Such as Ryder's semi-push, or Wyatt having to be cooled off, or their reluctance to get behind Bryan, even though the crowd was going insane for him. In the late 90s, they would take advantage of opportunities like that. Nowadays, The Rock would have been kept as Rocky Maivia and jobbing out to Rusev in two minutes.

It's also like they've built up WM so much that anything else is seen as just filler. Anything that happens is like, no biggee, because Nothing is going to happen until WM, or at least the buildup.

They need to stop being afraid of taking risks and start keeping their audience's attention. Their best Raws have come when they look like they're having fun with things. Instead, they're just slogging through, week after week, with the same tired formulas.

I didn't think TLC was all that bad and I thought RAW was OK.

It's interesting to see where they take this Rollins - Heyman - Lesnar "alliance"

I think one of the big things is they really have let guys go way too long on the mic. That opening segment was damn near 30 minutes. That's a good way to dull the excitement unless you have a top guy out there, and Jericho was out there but even he seemed off a bit.

Jericho making fun of Lana and Rusev was pretty funny.

As for the PPV - I had no Network issues watching it, although I had to watch it on replay because of the Cowboys-Eagles game. But I have had no real issues with the feed lately, unlike earlier this year.

I thought the Ziggler ladder match was too short. I dunno, just seemed a bit rushed.

it was either going to be Reigns or Orton coming out and it just happened to be Reigns. Might be saving Orton for the Rumble.

Awaiting whatever stip they're going to put on Lesnar/Cena III (as they're calling it).

The go-home Raw before the Rumble is gonna feature a "reunion" of sorts with HBK, Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash.

    Yipee.

Betcha Brock F5s HBK or something like that, or threatens to until SuperCena makes the save.

    Yay.
