Apparently, Justin Upton is about to be traded to an AL West team. Or maybe San Diego. San Diego doin work.

You're forgetting Albert Belle who retired from hip problems and has never been heard from again. In the 90's might have
been the most feared hitter in baseball . 9 straight 100 RBI seasons. Possible HOFer but pissed off the media so much that
    he never got enough votes.

    Belle only played 12 seasons.

Giants re-sign Peavy for 2/$24M. He joins Aubrey Huff and Marco Scutaro as post-title drunk overspends.

Peavy is fun to watch, if nothing else. Dude gets all kinds of fired up.

I don't know. Hard to question The Giants. They are one of the best run organizations in baseball, if not the top.
Brian Sabian has too good a track record.

This from Nats reporter Mark Zuckerman...

"What remains unclear is whether the Nationals have agreed to a contingency plan with the Padres in the event Turner gets injured before changing franchises next summer. Players to be named typically are chosen off a list of several previously agreed upon minor-leaguers, with the acquiring team having the right to select one player off the list at a certain time. It’s possible the Nationals and Padres agreed to add another player or two to a list that includes Turner, with the Nats then picking one of them come June."

Been out Christmas shopping all day ... I miss anything?

Say this for the new Padres GM ... he's certainly not sitting on his hands. That team has been ... just boring ... for going on 15 years now. They needed the fan base to be energized, even if it's debatable as to how good they'll be in 2015 (for one thing, that lineup is WAY TOO right-handed).

As a Braves fan, I'm OK with the haul for Upton. Prospect fetishism being what it is, they weren't going to get any of San Diego's big-time minor-leaguers and Preller wasn't willing to trade Tyson Ross or Andrew Cashner. Mallex Smith could be a Ben Revere-type leadoff man in a couple of years and Dustin Peterson is probably a better power-hitting prospect than anybody the Braves have in their system.

Max Fried is the real wild card. If he makes it all the way back from Tommy John, he could join Teheran, Miller and Wood to form a pretty nasty rotation in 2017.

So you know of exactly one guy with such problems who used PEDs. That one-man sample size is truly compelling scientific evidence, Dr. Coffee.

Your sustained outrage was funny the first 1002 times. Now not so much.

Stop harshing on the moments people like to have fun with it. They're just jokes.
