Chef. It was good. I wasn't expecting too much and thought it was nice. Scarlett Johannson, Robert Downey Jr. and Dustin a hoffman make nice small appearances. I alwYs like Jogn Leguizamo. Worth watching

JR's boys gave us a sound bar and subwoofer. Haven't hooked it up yet but looking forward to hearing things as clearly as we see them. :)

Unbreakable. Kinda disappointing. The movie is mostly torture porn and glosses over the front of his life. And almost entirely ignores the back end of a remarkable life.

The Coen brothers helped write it. Would have been better, I think, if they had also directed.

How good is the surround effect with the sound bar? I have a 15-year old Bose Lifestyle system that recently died and I'm looking to replace it. I was planning on getting a new full home theater, but at a ticket price of $2,500, I'm curious how the sound bars sound. I love me some surround sound.

And, FWIW, the Bose system was great. I'd have already bought the new one if not for the recent Christmas expenses.

    It was alright.
The climax was dumb, which ruined my enjoyment of the rest of the movie.

It's not quite surround sound because most of the speakers are in front of you, but it's a vast improvement over the sound from the TV.

That's about what I figured, but it seems like most of the sound bars boast some sort of "virtual" surround sound effect. I assumed they were just making it up, but without really experiencing it for myself, I wasn't sure how effective they are.

I'll give it a couple months and then I'll be happy to invest in a new Bose surround system. They're expensive, but I loved my Lifestyle system and when I think about how many of my movie experiences were improved by it over 15 years, I'm happy to reinvest in another.

Saw it in a theater. $17 for me and MTM Jr. There were five other people there for a 11:15 a.m. Saturday showing.

I enjoyed it. Not one of the great comedies of recent years, but good for some laughs. I hated Franco. He and the role were too cheesy. Rogan played Rogan.

The Interview over the weekend. Agree with MTM. Good for some laughs. Kim Jong Un is funny.

Let's Be Cops. Not as funny as I was hoping, but still worth the On Demand purchase.
