No fascination with the Jets. I just think this would be a good move for him. He gets to start over. Gets to handpick a GM. Complete control. None of those pesky college rules to abide by. Be the media darling of the East Coast. Woody would probably give him a piece of the team if he wanted it.

I keep seeing Rex' name popping up as a HC. I would be surprised if he didn't take a year off.....either show up on ESPN, or maybe hide as a DC for a year......

I think he either gets the Falcons job or goes into TV for at least a year. I actually think he'd be a decent hire in Atlanta.

As a lifelong Falcons fan, I'm torn. I like Rex. He is a players coach for sure.
If he's going to do that, he had better bring in one helluva offensive coordinator. Let the OC call all the plays. Let Rex sit back and manage everything.

It says a lot that he's getting interviews right after being fired. He was portrayed as a buffoon in NY and he played into that a bit, but he's very well-respected around the league. I think he could help the Falcons defense, but like you said, he's need to bring in a good OC. I don't think he would have any trouble doing that.

I'd be glad to see Ryan come to Atlanta, but I'm thinking they're going to end up going with one of the coordinator types that have been mentioned.

If it was Rex, he has an in house OC option to consider. I know Koetter has HC aspirations and don't know if he'd want to stick around, but certainly seems like a viable consideration.

Rex will never be a coordinator again. He'll either be a head coach or a TV guy. He's already interviewed with ESPN in case he doesn't get a coaching offer he likes.

    Fact: The sky is blue.
Chef: I would be surprised if the sky isn't green by this afternoon. I really believe that. That's my opinion. Nothing more, nothing less.

Things have gotten a bit quiet for Koetter in recent years. It's not his fault Jones was injured last year and his entire offensive line was hurt this year. Let him do his thing while Rex tries to improve the defense.

Rex is a defensive genius with no sense of offense or apparent sense of even wanting to lead offense in a big
picture manner as HC. The book Collision Low Crossers provided great insight into Rex's lack of interest
in the offense of The Jets and I believe had a lot to do with his failings there.

Based on the offensive coordinators that he brought to The Jets I would not trust his judgement on picking one.
That said, if he could ever be matched up with an innovative OC he would be able to develop a team that could win
    a Super Bowl.

I think that Atlanta would be a good fit for him but again he needs an OC that knows what he is doing.

    I've seen green skies before.
    I truly have.
