Atlanta. Take the QB. Year to year great d's are rare.

It's way easier to build a strong defense than it is to find a top-level QB.

I'm not enough of an NFL expert to know the answer to that. I'm sure it's a fine job. I was simply saying that having no QB is a big deal.

Considering who Marrone's agent is, he'll probably be announced as the Jets new HC before the end of next week. Brilliantly played by Sexton. Of course, the Jets (and Bears, and probably the Raiders) are committing the cardinal sin of looking for coaches before they find a GM.

Frank Reich to Buffalo seems like a given.

The Bears aren't looking for a coach first. They're just interviewing top candidates available now so the new GM has more info to work with when he is hired.

  10. Regarding Marone ...
I swear either Florio or King on Sunday Night told viewers there was NO way Marrone would opt out of his contract and would stay with Buffalo.

Florio also "reported" Smith would "probably" be fired from the Falcons.

Not defending either, but I read it in several places. They probably got that from Sexton and as anyone who has dealt with Sexton before knows, if he's talking, he's lying.
