I've seen it. He's angry about a scene that critics read as having a sexual subtext between he and du Pont, which, for all we know about du Pont, is quite possible.

The Twitter rant is, in fact, just about a perfect illustration of how tortured a soul Schultz is.

In one of the Facebook posts, Schultz says the only reason he took a job at Villanova is because du Pont specifically said he wouldn't be involved.

This story says otherwise. What a fiasco Villanova wrestling was, huh?

"Into the Woods." Wife made me. Fell asleep. Not my cup of tea.

"Chef." I liked this one. Not a great movie, but worth a watch.

Hated this movie. The resolution was so ... easy, I guess is the way to describe it. I don't know, it left me totally flat.

Since I barely get to see adult movies anymore, I'll mention that my son received "The Croods" as a Christmas gift and we've been watching it non-stop for two weeks. It's surprisingly enjoyable. Very similar plot to "Ice Age," though it explores different themes. It has a few laugh out loud moments, a couple of fun action scenes and is pretty solid overall.

    The Interview via onDemand.

Reminded me a lot of This is the End. Surprisingly graphic violence and lots of man love between Rogen and Franco.

Parts of it were pretty funny, but I could see why the North Koreans had a problem with it.

A really, really interesting idea spoiled by the film's seemingly inexorable need to be trite and cliched in almost every scene. Seriously, I loved The Deer Hunter but it's still too soon and/or too late to rip off huge chunks from it. (And there's a steel industry left in Pennsylvania?)

Rented Equalizer On Demand last night. It would've been worth the $12 theatre ticket, $8 popcorn, $5 soda, and $5 bag of Twizzlers.

Couple the last day or so:
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Pretty entertaining, but not quite on the level as the first. Certainly did not hate it. I'm enjoying this series to the say the least.
Edge of Tomorrow. Oh my goodness gracious. Why it took me this long to see this is beyond me. Smart, witty, and what I loved most about it is the movie didn't beat you over senseless explaining everything. The super duper happy hollywood ending is great and all, but the enormous super crazy, rules and timeframes ending = mind blown. Are we at a point of spoilers for summer movies?
    If so

At first I thought Cruise had lied when Blunt was about to stab him to death after the car chase scene. The last part of the movie seemed so planned out, but then I thought while watching, 'Well, it appears Cage is one badass soldier and all grown up'. Regardless, ending was interesting. Omega has its original reset point (posting up in Paris), evaluates every potential outcome every time an Alpha dies and if an Alpha doesn't die, the Omega when killed resets to when it posted up in Paris. Or was that a conscious reset by the Omega. Cage now covered with Omega blood is part of the Omega now and knows everything that will happen in the event of killing the Omega. Sort of like the Omega split but Cage has the information while the current Omega is blind. Or I guess all of this created a paradox.
    Whew.

Snowpiercer. One of the best movies from 2014 that I've seen. Simply excellent.

    Inherent Vice.

Fun ride, and Joaquin Phoenix is amazing. The story is rather pedestrian, but the crazy cast of characters makes up for it. It's a little too long, and the resolution is weak...but there are so many elements of other movies in it, it's definitely worth seeing, especially if you're a fan of Chinatown.

At one point, though, when it's clear the story was being rushed a bit, I found myself thinking, "this would make for a great 10-part HBO miniseries." It's funny how longform TV has replaced movies as the go-to place for quality acting and storytelling.

Anita Ekberg, the Swedish actress whose walk through Rome's Trevi fountain in Frederico Fellini's La Dolce Vita made her an icon of cinema, has died aged 83 at a clinic near the Italian capital, according to her lawyer.

Patrizia Ubaldi said on Sunday Ekberg's funeral will be held in the Italian capital this week, her body will be cremated and her ashes sent to Sweden.

In 2011 the Turin daily La Stampa reported that at the age of 80 Ekberg asked for financial help from the Fellini Foundation.

She lived in a residence for elderly people near Rome after breaking her hip.

Don't know what took me so long but I finally saw Hangover last night. The part where the tiger woke up in the back seat of the car when they were returning it to Mike Tyson made me laugh so hard I cried.
