Mariota or Winston?

Wouldn't surprise me at all. Also wouldn't surprise me if they traded the pick.

Who would be the best candidates to trade up? I'd think the RG3 debacle might scare some teams off. Then again, the NFL is always filled with stupid people.

Never more stupid than when it comes to drafting QBs.

Redskins, Jets, Bears, Browns, Texans. Bills would be in the mix, but they don't have a first-round pick.

Skins aren't trading up to 1. I feel pretty confident saying that today. Two days ago, not so much.

It would be interesting to see if Philly would try to trade up for Mariota. It's been a long time since a team drafting outside of the top 5 or 10 has moved into the top spot. It's one thing to move down a few spots, take Randy Gregory and stockpile a few picks, it's something else to move to the middle of the round.

I don't see any of those teams doing it, not for these guys.

I agree, although I'd be the least surprised by the Jets making a move.

It depends who gets the job. I do not see a first-time NFL HC trading up to take Winston.

The Bucs and Titans draft 1-2 and neither has a QB. Picking a quarterback high in the first round is always risky. But so is not picking one. If the Bucs pass on a QB and either Winston or Mariota does well elsewhere, people in that organization are going to be fired -- maybe all of them.

And that fear is why so many QBS are overdrafted.

Drafting Mariota and easing him in behind McCown, almost guarantees Lovie will be in Tampa for a third year.

I don't understand "easing him in behind McCown." I cannot fathom a world where Mariota isn't better than McCown from the day he is drafted.
