Though I'd be perfectly happy to have Elway sitting next to me on the Darrell Bevell bandwagon.

He has two more Super Bowl wins than John Fox or anyone else in franchise history.

I would be very surprised if they don't hire someone with HC experience. I think the only exception to that would be Gase, if he's as beloved as some seem to think, but that wouldn't make much sense either.

I think Kubiak will be considered.

Would this opening be enough to get Jon Gruden's attention? I doubt it, because Gruden would quit the second Manning retires.

Kubiak really makes the most sense here.

I hope Gase gets the job just so the Niners don't hire him.

CBS Sports listed Shanahan as a candidate, but it wasn't one of their real NFL reporters, it was just the guy who rewrites everything else that others write.

This could end very poorly. All Fox did in four seasons was go 46-18 and win four division titles. Sure, he never won the Super Bowl, but that's also true for the vast majority of candidates to replace him.

I hope they realize what they have and don't tear up the nucleus without giving it one more shot before Manning retires. They're not the Raiders. They're not that far away.

Perhaps Denver will go without Fox AND Manning... which, long-term, might be the correct move.

Does anyone here think Manning's ceiling in 2015 will be any higher than the last three years?

The AFC West hasn't exactly been the NFC West in recent years. Any decent QB in Denver should win 9 or 10 in that division.

If you're not moving forward, blow the damn thing up. Of course, you could be one of the teams perfectly happy to go 9-7 and seek the season ticket renewals of your fans.

I never pegged the Broncos as an organization that settles for "good enough". They went all-in on Manning three years ago. Didn't get them the big trophy. No fault to either side. Move on. Time for the next approach.
