Leinart was picked 10th, I believe. And had Jeff Fisher had his way, he would have went 3rd.

    Matt Barkley, Willis McGahee...

Guy, you're again talking about guys who were projected in the first round at the time. Jones is a fringe pick -- if someone takes a REAL flier he goes in the third round.

Barkley and McGahee have nothing in common with Jones. Aside from being football players.

Difference in scale, not substance. The drop from round 1-4 is no more important than from 5-undrafted.

How could people not know at this point exactly where Cardale Jones would be drafted? I have never, in my life, heard of someone being projected anywhere from the fourth round to undrafted. That's never happened. Not in the history of football. I'd like to know what else is going on here. I'm not accusing the media of anything. I'm just raising the question. Because this is unheard of.

Wasn't there a kid last year projected like that, Sam Michael or something? Yankeefan will know.

I get the Sam reference, but to clarify, my point was that if he can get someone to bite in round 4 now, he's taking a big risk coming back, especially if he won't play.
