A two-team teaser just pays out as a straight bet?

I don't understand doing that at all. Just make two straight bets, you lose nothing but the juice if one of them hits and the other doesn't, and if they both hit you've made just as much as the teaser.

I guess I just don't think the points are worth that much if you already think the team is going to win.

Points are a little more valuable when teasing the dog. But there's nothing wrong with your opinion, either. Very fair.

A two-team teaser at -110 is the sale of the century. -120 is more likely.

Yeah, teasers are just stupid. Buying the points just isn't worth it. If I'm wagering on two teams to win, I better get a better payout than a straight bet.

You're not always betting on two teams to win, though. This isn't a difficult concept to grasp. Really, it isn't.

"Wagering on two teams for me to win" might have been clearer, I suppose. Yes, I understand they don't have to win the game outright. I've made plenty of wagers over the years, and frankly, I'm pretty good at it (I've had three losing weeks this season, two break-evens and I'm up the rest), so let's ease up on the condescension.

Teasing is a sucker bet, plain and simple. It requires that two teams "win" (and by "win," I mean "cover" - I assumed that was understood) to receive the same payout as a straight bet on one team. This isn't a difficult concept to grasp. Really, it isn't.

I had to make a teaser bet for a friend in Vegas this past weekend. The MGM properties worked as follows: You can tease any game 5, 5.5, or 6. Obviously, the more you tease, the less the payout. This dude teased five (I chose a 6 point teaser) and it payed 4:1.

Bovada lets you go 6, 6.5, 7, and sometimes 10 points, I think. The odds I listed on the previous page were for the 6-point move.

First, can someone explain to me what a teaser is and how it works.
Second, what are the picks for tomorrow?
I was just looking and noticed the last time the Seahawks faced a quarterback who could actually win a game on his own, they lost at home. Three months ago. I don't hate the Packers chances as much as I thought I did, but I think Wilson is starting his run toward become an all-time great. Seahawks win in a shootout.
My biggest worry for the AFC is how everyone thinks it's a slam-dunk for the Pats. That rarely ends well.
If I had money, I'd bet the Packers to cover and the over, then take the Pats and the under.
