Why are you assuming that he's not going to be good?

 

He had three career starts. He couldn't beat out TWO different starters on the college level. You never know what can happen, but the only informed assumption you can make is that he's not going to be an NFL success.

 

I suspect, once he starts making the rounds, his stock is going to drop. A lot. He does have a HUGE arm. He also has really mediocre mechanics. He's struggled to master the playbook. He's a Mack truck...but SLOW. He pretty immature, as evidenced by his social media.

He wasn't 3rd string (forget Spring Practice....Barrett was alwasy better), because Urban was trying to "hide" him, or something. God bless ya, Cardale. Buckeye nation appreciates the last 3 games. Cash in if ya can.

His team beat Wisconsin 59-0 in the Big Ten championship game, then freaking Alabama in a playoff game, then trounced Oregon for the national title.

 

How many QBs started 3 games in college and wound up as a good NFL QB?
How many basketball players started 0 games in college and wound up as good NBA players?
