Ha. The sarcasm in your first sentence is warranted. I doubt he's going to invest his signing bonus in his Roth IRA or mutual funds, I'm just saying the wisest course of action is to recognize a potentially limited pro career and begin financial planning immediately. It won't happen, but it's the right thing to do.

As for the hashtag, I actually don't think he's being shortsighted by declaring for the draft. His best chance to secure his future is to enter the NFL draft this season.

That was a little sarcastic as well. We all know he never thought about a future without football, and that's likely going to fuck him.

The best thing about that Tweet is the misspelling of his own name.

Agreed. Unless he puts in the work to become a great QB, yeah, he's going to struggle to find meaningful work when it's all over. "We ain't come to play school" pretty much says it all.

"I'd like to start with a big thank you to Cardale Jones. I could not have done it without him"

What's his GPA now, two years after his famous tweet?
He might have grown up a little since then. Wonder what classes he takes.

"His team" included a stud O-line, one helluva running back and a coach considered one of the greats of today, if not all time. Yes, Jones was highly impressive. But it's not like he was carrying a mediocre team squarely on his shoulders.
If Jones indeed goes pro, I'm assuming Miller and Barrett will have a great battle for the job?

In a recent story, Gene Smith claimed it was 3.0 and that he was "rocking his academics."
