Yeah, Little Shanny did a bang-up job with Donovan McNabb, Rex Grossman, and John Beck.

Interestingly, the Jets seem to be aware that they suck at this sort of thing and hired Charlie Casserly and his consulting group to find them a new front office. We'll see how well it plays out.

Guy who hasn't had to earn anything because of who his dad is hires guy who hasn't had to earn anything because of who his dad is. Perfect match.

If you listen to them in the past two weeks, Mark Davis inspires tons more confidence than Jed York does.

Looks like Little Shanny will be Quinn's OC in Atlanta.

Since Gase did not get an HC job I would think he would be a top candidate in Chicago as OC. He does not have any apparent relationship with Kubiak.

    God, I hope not.

Joe Barry was the coordinator of the 2007 Lions, which had the worst defense in the league, but went 7-9. The offense was mediocre, ranking 16th in the NFL in points scored. Mike Martz was the offensive coordinator and in 2006 and 2007 Jon Kitna had his two best years.

Normally a team in this situation would fire the defensive coordinator. Surprisingly the Lions decided that they needed to fire Martz, who was not related by marriage to Rod Marinelli. They decided to benchmark the Raiders who had been fourth in the NFL in time of possession in 2007 and keep running the ball even if they trailed in the game. Marinelli appeared to be unconcerned that the Raiders had gone 4-12. But emphasizing the running game would keep the defense of the field.

It turned out Kitna was lost without Martz as OC, the offense collapsed and the defense still sucked. 0-16 ensued.

Would make for a fairly smooth transition if Fox brings in Gase and Allen.

Right now I don't think Jed inspires any kind of confidence at all, especially after passing over Fangio for Tomsula.
