Romney already has about double the support of Bush in early polls. And, it's not like Jeb is lacking in name recognition. In fact, his numbers are probably inflated by name recognition.

Romney's been beaten up. The people who don't like him know they don't like him. Jeb hasn't run a national campaign, and had his positions scrutinized be an increasingly conservative primary electorate.

Which polls are you talking about? I'm not doubting you, I'm just curious.

Jeb and Romney, and possibly Huckabee, are the only ones where a national poll really matters at this point. Because if they're not killing it now, they're not likely to be doing much better when people start to get to know the other candidates better.

Walker wins his elections with votes from nothing but white people in the suburbs/country. Works in Wisconsin, doesn't have a prayer nationally.

And he doesn't have a college degree. I have to believe that in this day that's going to do him in.

It's weird that it would, but I know that it would. I'm trying to even think about how opponents would bring that up, except to constantly be in reporters' ears about it off the record.

I'll be curious how much of an issue the college degree thing is. For Walker, the key will be winning or having a very strong finish in Iowa. If he does well there, he could get some momentum. If he doesn't, he has no chance.

Interesting trivia: Who was the last president not to have a degree?

Obama, according to most right-wing radio.

I think Ben Carson would make an intriguing candidate. Guy is smart as hell. Too bad he'd get crushed in the press for being a token black conservative.

And because he's a completely unqualified buffoon.
