He's not only going to run again, but he's going to win this time:

Isn't that always the opposition's goal? Was that not the Democrats' goal when Bush was in office?

When the opposition party won a sweeping victory and took control of Congress, Clinton recognized what the public was saying and adjusted his agenda. When the same thing happened in 2014, Obama disregarded what the public was saying and doubled down on his.

Sure, but they don't come out and flat-out say it, and usually they at least make an attempt at finding some sort of common ground.

The GOP flat-out said their sole goal was to make him a one-termer, and they failed at that. They've shown zero inclination at coming up with anything that actually could have made them both look good. It's the main reason why Congress' approval rating is hovering near single digits.

And yet, Republicans won huge using opposition to Obama's agenda as the big overriding issue. You might think he'd take a hint from that regarding what the voters wanted.

Obama did do that in 2010. As one headline so eloquently put it this morning, in 2015, he has no more fucks to give about what Republicans want.

How about what the voters want?

The voters who elected him twice? Or the voters who showed up for the midterm?

They are not one in the same.

The ones who voted after Obamacare took effect.

Obamacare, overall, has been a huge success.

That must be why it's so popular.
