But, hey, the new Saudi King is 79, so who knows.

    100%.

She didn't even get beat up in 2008. She went negative against Obama, but he never really had to attack her.

I agree with this but not until at least 2028, when the 20-year-olds who helped elect Obama in 2008 turn 40 and their priorities change.

Without even delving into Obama's term, I can't see how anything from W. ends up looking good. Other than the war, probably his biggest "achievement" was No Child Left Behind, which is now roundly despised including by the person who led the charge.

He didn't have to attack her because the wind was, primarily, at his back the entire time. I covered the 2008 campaigns extensively (both party's primaries and the general) and the reporters along the way on Obama were so incredibly soft behind the scenes as well as in the interviews. Campaign events for Obama were like watching Benny Hinn save the masses.

Hillary ran her campaign like Rex Ryan while Obama was Pete Carroll. In 2004, a Rex Ryan campaign might have won. Not in 2008.

Google "Bush Africa AIDS" and you might rethink what his greatest "achievement" was.

So, what's Obama's rating going to be in 2021?

President Obama’s approval is up. So is confidence in the economy. But it’s not that simple. - The Washington Post

She knows she can't win and could only mess things up for Democrats. Makes no sense for her to run. She'll extract some promises from HRC privately, sit on her left shoulder and be the voice of progressives, maybe ordain the Dems' next candidate.

The crazy thing is, she's got a good chance to win. Hillary is by her nature cautious. Warren isn't, and wouldn't have to be.

She could run an aggressive campaign that would really fuck with Clinton's campaign. I think she would have a very good shot at beating Clinton.

And, obviously if she were to win the nomination, she'd have a good shot to win the Presidency. Now, I do believe Republicans would have a better shot at painting her as "too liberal", or some such thing, so I think her chances of winning the general would be less than Clinton's.

I don't think the country is ready for Warren yet. I agree she could give HRC a heck of a race in the primaries. She could get a lot of young support -- like Howard Dean before the implosion.

Elizabeth Warren is 65 years old herself. It's not like she would be Scarlett Johannson rounding up the "youth vote."

And Biden will turn 73 two weeks after the election.

It's truly amazing how about 30 years worth of the Democrats' 'depth' has completely vanished off the face of the earth. It's a parade of fossils.
