Yeah, I think they're for real. Teague is a very under-rated point guard. Better than some who are more highly touted. Horford is finally healthy and playing very well. Millsap is an excellent scorer. Korver is an elite 3-point shooter. They've got depth.

They've done it for a half-season now, so it's not just a two-week hot streak.

Who saw it coming that the top three teams in the East would be Atlanta, Washington and Toronto?

John Wall will never be a great player.

Hawks go into Toronto and win by 21. Anyone still think they're not for real?

OKC Thunder are 3 games out of the Western Conf playoffs right now. What are the odds they can pass Phoenix?

They've looked better since they got healthy, but not in peak form. Not gonna be easy. But i'd hate to be the one seed if they get in at 8.

I found myself on StubHub today looking at Hawks tickets. I haven't thought about going to a game since I was a kid and Dominique was playing. No greater sign of progress, I suppose. Still couldn't name their starting five, however.

In another sign of progress, I believe AJC is back to covering them on the road.

On the back end of a back to back, the last game of 4 in 5 nights, the Warriors went into Houston and absolutely blew them out by 25 in the 2nd half. IMHO that's as impressive as a performance as you will see in a mid-January contest. Here's hoping that the Warriors can avoid the Pacers path of last year and instead sustain this brilliance through the end of the playoffs.

Nice to see players from 12-31 and 7-36 teams voted to start the NBA All-Star Game.

Kobe has a torn cuff in his right shoulder.

With Kobe's All-Star spot up for grabs, Warriors' Klay Thompson sets an NBA record for points in a quarter with 37 in the third against Sacramento. 13-13 FG, 2-2 FT, 9-9 3PT.
