I don't understand the time argument for why the Seahawks would pass in that situation.

One yard to go. 28 seconds. Run the ball and then call timeout. Probably 21-23 seconds left. That's not enough time for two more snaps?

The killer punchline: The Pats were laying down for the go-ahead TD, saving their timeouts, and would have let Lynch walk in, backwards.

Maybe not if third down is a running play that doesn't make it ... and what if you do get stacked up and suddenly it's fourth down from the 3 and you have to change plans and get all different personnel in?

Yeah, I think you run pass plays on third and fourth.
