    One of the best advice I got as a writer was: "Don't love your paper because it won't love you back..."

    Yep, chickenbleep.
    This is where veteran writers should leap to Tigers.com or MLB.com or whatever else might be out there and never look back.
    Hope Tom Gage sticks it to the News in whatever way best suits him, leaving or staying.

    Careful. I once got ripped on by certain people on here when I implied that CEOs and upper management weren't as special as the people whose day to day work kept the business running.

    We're busting hump in the trenches, and they're talking about metrics and performance goals.
