Is Mitt running for president again?

How did those policy implications work out? Point being, we'd all be better off judging actions instead of words, which are 99 percent bullshit anyway.

And, while of course liberals gave Obama a pass on gay marriage considering he was THEIR candidate, the media did not.

And I'm sorry if it bothers you, but it is 2015. They can "reconcile" in private. When they continue to try to force this into science curriculums, or create a false "debate," I have no patience for their existential crisis. The sane world has moved on.

By the way, to RJ or whoever said this earlier, asking "do you believe in evolution" is not a "gotcha" question, and it's ridiculous to suggest it isn't relevant.

Maybe we should expect that a candidate for president would've put enough thought into his beliefs and his political hopes to either A) Answer the question truthfully, or B) Pander to his base with a canned answer that he then owns through the campaign, as Obama did with gay marriage.

"Punting" shows everyone that he doesn't have strong beliefs, or he's not politically savvy enough to tell voters what they want to hear.

As I said earlier, the punting was Walker's version of a "no comment" and I'm guessing people are telling him right now, "Look, if you want to be taken seriously, you can't pull that shit."

Dick made a good point yesterday that if the question is being asked because some South Carolina neo-Con wants to know if you're like-minded before he votes for you, it's a fair question. I agree with that.

I also hope Walker answers that question in the future as he did in the tweet.

I remember Obama answering a question about abortion as it being "above his pay grade" at some holy roller debate he agreed to participate in. That was a bad answer, as well, which this reminds me of.

    Yes. Sure.

But why can't they be allowed to pander to the voters; we all know they are pandering/lying; and we leave it at that?

You know, like with gay marriage in 2008?

    Objection.

    Asked and answered.

C'mon, Each side should get a couple of topics they're allowed to lie about with impunity.

I can understand the frustration with the question, as I could with Walker... But it doesn't go over too well if you say, "You don't like it, call the Supreme Court and complain."

I would be ecstatic if we could get through an election cycle without questions about abortion, evolution and gay marriage. I know that's not happening...

    Did Walker do this?

You have to keep in mind, YF, that Republican voters are "the mouth-breathing ... crowd." The presumption of non-mouth-breather-ness inheres to someone wrestling with the "Hillary or Barack" question.
