My wife said she won't watch the show anymore if that happen

I'm sure it will. My son thinks Tyreese is going to die in the second half of this season since he's already dead in the comics. Maybe they'll have him hold on until Negan and then have Negan kill him instead of Glenn.

I find myself rooting for Aaron to not be as trustworthy as he was in the comics, mostly because knowing who he is just lets too much tension out of the story.

I wonder how long until we see Negan.

I've never seen the comics. When I watched tonight's episode I kept waiting for the double cross. Maybe it comes next week.

Rick was rough on Aaron but how can you trust anyone in their world?

Rick's approach definitely made sense. I just think this might be a fun place to deviate from the comics, which is why I dug up this thread instead of the spoiler-free one.

i was only off on Aaron by two episodes. SCORE! :) (I predicted mid-season finale)

I'm betting we don't see Negan until season's end. Then they build to Glen's death at the midseason finale next year.

Or Negan pops up in a couple of episodes and Glen is dead by May.

I went back to see the similarities of the Safe Zone in the comic and I forgot about the short-liven "Scavengers" series...so maybe that's what these "Wolves" are that are being eluded to with the Ws carved in zombie and the "Wolves Not Far" spray painted sign at Noah's neighborhood.
This is the group that has a shooting war with Rick & Co., then a zombie herd breaks through the wall and after Rick and his group rid them of zombies, Rick gains control of the Safe Zone.
My guess is we find out who The Wolves are next week when Glenn and a few others venture into DC to gather supplies; they follow them back to the ASZ. Penultimate episode will have Derek (the Wolves leader) doing the "Little Pig, little pig.." line to end the show and the shootout will start the last episode, which will lead to zombies, death and destruction. At the end Rick will be handed over control of the Safe Zone and the season will end on a happy note.
Maybe Morgan shows up to help in the fight?

Seems like they are slow-playing Negan. My guess is he won't even be in this coming season.

I think you're right. Unless they've kept the casting amazingly secret.

I thought they had already cast Negan, but I guess not. That is how they telegraphed the arrival of the Governor, with the casting news.

"Walking Dead" Showrunner Releases Statement on Major Character's Fate

I figured this was a good time to dig up the spoiler thread. There is certainly speculation that Glenn somehow survived, but let's say he really is gone.

Which was worse? The way they took him out in the comics or in the show? In the comics, Negan murders him in front of the group. Maggie and the others watch helplessly as his head is bashed in. Already mortally wounded, he calls out for Maggie one last time.

In the show, he is left alone and ripped apart, with no way for the others to even know what happened to him. Sure, they can guess, but would Maggie ever quit without a body?
