NFL offseason thread

I agree that Peterson is a complete douchebag, but his punishment has been so over the top that it's not even funny.

 

Obviously, yesterday's news, but Reggie Bush and AJ Hawk both were cut. I'm guessing both teams were clearing money to sign Suh and Cobb.

Neither release should have been much of a surprise.

 

A bit ironic?

 

Bush will find a new gig soon. The fans of that team will get excited about it. Then he'll be injured for 12 games.

 

I'm still trying to figure out why the whole Dez Bryant thing is getting swept under the rug.......

 

It's probably the most stunning suspension that I can remember. I am not by any stretch of the imagination defending what he did, but when he missed the second game of the season, how long did you think he was going to be out? I figured a month tops.

 

I think it will be interesting to see if any team is dumb enough to give him significant money.

He could be an OK add if he signs a cheap deal and is used primarily as a third-down back.

 

And why is Schefter doing interviews in which he says he knows that tape exists and has seen that tape, yet isn't doing any reporting on it? Or at least hasn't written about it?

 

Because every ghoul and fixer the NFL can find is working on making sure the video doesn't get out.

 

Yeah, I read that and I thought WTF? What is it alleged that Bryant did? Also, how bad would it have to be for Schefter to have spent much of last season working on it?

 

Five times worse than Ray Rice and it happened at a Wal-Mart?

 

Ian Rapoport got a police report saying he dragged a woman from one car to another.
