Duke and UVa go down. should both lose the #1 seed

    UVa won't, but Duke could.

Arkansas held on to beat Tennessee in the SEC Tournament with former player Scottie Pippen in attendance.

If Arizona wins Saturday, it should get a No. 1 seed. UVA should lose its 1 seed.

It's always a good day/night when Duke loses.

Do people really think there are four teams with a better resume than Virginia? Three losses to Top 20 teams by a total of 10 points and a bunch of good wins.

I almost listed UVa as the darkhorse for the sheep question. I wound up going with Villanova.

Assuming chalk in conference champ games, I'd go:
    1s: Kentucky, Virginia, Arizona, Nova
    2s: Duke, Wisconsin, Gonzaga, Kansas
3s: Notre Dame, Maryland, Iowa State, Northern Iowa

We'll see what happens in the remaining Big Ten tournament games, but if Wisconsin wins, that'll be an absolute screw job if they get paired as the overall 8 seed in Kentucky's quarter of the bracket. I hope the committee does a better job than these "expert" bracketologists are suggesting.

They fought back and had a chance to take the lead late but didn't. UNC tried giving it away just as much.

Without Kentucky is the SEC a mid major quality conference?

This year? Maybe. But Florida has been an elite player for 15 years outside of this rebuilding year.

How in the world does Zona have a better case for a 1 seed than UVA? Zona has three losses, all to teams barely over .500. UVA has three losses, all to top 20 teams. Zona has one win over a top 25 team, over No. 7 at home. UVA won true road games at 8, 11 and 19, and beat 14 at home. Winning the Pac-12 would help, but it doesn't come close to making up that difference.
