Kentucky declines to cut the nets down after the SEC tourney title.

Tom Crean is probably planning a net-cutting ceremony to commemorate the 10 seed.

I'm doing Thurs/Fri right this year. My Dad and I are driving from home in Indy on Thurs to Louisville for its four games, spending night, driving to Columbus Friday morning for the four games there, then heading home. The NCAA doesn't often have two early-round sites so close to each other, so we jumped on it.

The one who said Arizona was playing a 'virtual home game' was Doug Gottlieb. I've always thought he was a moron.

I did this . . . my goodness, what's it been, about 30 years ago? . . . watching every game in Uniondale, N.Y., Washington, D.C., back to Uniondale, then back to D.C. By Sunday afternoon it was everything I could do to remember any team I'd seen. Have fun; see you in Looahville; I'll be the one rooting like hell for whatever team is playing Kentucky.

Look, several federal courts have determined the NCAA has violated important commercial laws related to antitrust. In layman's terms, it's a racket. The tournament is its most important event, without which the organization would collapse completely. To expect the selection process not to favor the powers that be is foolish. If one year CBS told them we want teams W, X, Y and Z in the Final Four, that's what would happen. The tournament remains a great event, but it's still an event run by the most profoundly corrupt organization in American sports (FIFA has world title in perpetuity. If Duke meets Kentucky in the Final Four (not sure, might have to be title game), Calipari had better tell his team to be leading by 20 with two minutes to go or they will get fucked.

Boise State, Green Bay and Buffalo.

The only single-digit loss teams Wisconsin has beaten.

Even more bizarre, the winning coach hobbled off the floor on crutches after tearing his Achillies while celebrating.

Yeah, we're passing on the Sat/Sun games (though if one of our teams had been in those cities, we'd have reconsidered). Back to the couch and home cooking for the weekend.

The problem with that is that UK is one of the NCAA's darlings too.

Calipari is an idiot for not playing a UNLV full throttle style anyway, so they have a 30-40-50+ point lead in every game, so they can never get fucked by a bad call, somebody throwing in three 3s in a row or some other bizarro world ending.

A March tradition like no other:

Bitching about the NCAA and their slurp job of the no-more bluebloods
ESPN analysts going chalk on their Final Four picks.
