Eh. I don't really care about that particular character so it didn't bother me. The most disturbing deaths on this show for me have been, in order:

1.) The horse death in the first episode. I don't know if it was the music that went with it, that wide shot showing just how many walkers were chowing down or that it was so quick and sudden but that one really messed with me.
2.) The hostages at Terminus- This was one of the most uncomfortable scenes I've ever seen in a show and the way these guys were killed-with their throats slit and left to bleeds out in a tub, was horrifying.
3.) Lori- While I hated the character, Lori's death was one of the worst ones for me. Mostly because of the image of the stuffed and bloated walker who, in theory at least, gorged himself on her remains. Creepy as shit.
4.) Dale- This one was a total surprise and came out of nowhere. The thing that haunts me is that it was the same walker Carl let go.

The hostages at Terminus scene was impossible for me to watch. I have a thing about slitting throats (my nightmare), so I almost just stopped there. I think the very first death in the very first episode (Rick killing the little girl walker) was shocking. Killing kids, especially on TV, has seemed to be a gray area. The more I think about it, the more deaths come back to me. Hershel getting decapitated is another one that was awful. Carol and "look at the flowers" girl.

    Damn, I love this show!

The butcher shop in Terminus (they weren't really hostages) was awful, but I really did almost quit the show after the scene with Carol and the little girl. It was beautifully written and executed, perfectly in character and I never, ever want to see it again.

One death that got me wasn't particularly gruesome, but the implied horror made me cringe. It was the Season 2 finale when the zombie herd overruns the farm and one of Hershel's brood gets caught in the Winnebago and killed. They show the walkers tearing him apart (bad enough), then cut to the outside where Rick looks back and sees a spurt of blood splash across the windshield.
The way it was shot, with the interior lights of the Winnebago shining on that blood spurt, was well done.

    Finally we're moving again.
The effect of the death was the way it played out in Glenn's face and the cause of it.
The position these factors are setting up between the group and the people of Alexandria. Just shouldn't have taken this long to get to this point.
Now Rick will look like a home wrecker rather than a sheriff.
Glenn and Abraham will look like they are putting Alexandrians in jeopardy.
Carol is stealing guns and food at the expense of the Alexandrians.

The cicrumstantial evidence looks bad for them.

Speaking of gruesome deaths, I wondered immediately why Glenn didn't put a bullet in the brain of [the other character who died] in the warehouse. It would have taken one second and spared that person what subsequently happened.

Seems logical that, if you don't want to run across any spoilers, you stay out of this thread until you're current on episodes.

I wish the doctor/husband guy hadn't had all this unlikability heaped upon him, from his general porch-dick demeanor to his jealous hubby act to, now, a domestic abuser. Would have made it more intriguing for Rick to still justify butting heads (or worse) with him, and for us to continue siding with Rick. Now the guy isn't just a jerk -- he's deserving of whatever befalls him. Hell, make him don a black hat so nobody misses his villainy.

    Because 1) it's Deanna's kid. and 2) it's how Glenn is wired...to save people.

If I was prone to conspiracy theories, I might connect dots regarding T-Dog, Bob, Tyreese and Noah and wonder a little about this show.

Yeah, I know, that was a topic in the after-show. But being humane vs. "Otis-fying" a left-behind would seem to be in character.

I suppose it would be harder to explain to Deanna, who's going to have enough trouble with it as it is.

If I remember correctly, I remember hearing a story that the actor who played the victim there was nearly panicked at the very thought of dying that way. Even just acting it out was terrifying for him.

The best line I heard on this was the "Black Highlander" theory.
As in, there can be only one.
