I prefer to think of myself as verbose in a way that expresses thoughts using too many words.

The terse version of Ragu's post: It's just a message board, people.

I enjoyed Boom fucking with people who took themselves too seriously, and I think the ban is over the top. But at least Jeff was accountable. The honesty is commendable.

Back to my point, if you get annoyed or tired of this place, give yourself a break. One of these days, I'll leave for the third time. At some point later to sign up for the fourth time. Just a board, people.

Yup. And yup. Well said. Some of you might be amazed at how much more you'll enjoy the interaction here if you ignore the folks you don't like and don't take the bait. Nothing that goes on here is worth getting that worked up about.

Is there a function to block specific posters? All the best boards have it...

I wish Boom was still here. I enjoyed our John Gagliardi chats.

Obviously a lot of people have left, willingly or otherwise, but I still get a lot out of the board and appreciate it as perhaps my favorite site. Like others, I have met a lot of great folks here, people who have become friends, professionally and personally. That element will never change, I don't think.

And I'll never leave completely, unless, perhaps the day finally comes when Tiger wins major number 19 and I dredge up the Tiger Woods Running Thread, quote every old post of mine predicting he'd do it, bask in my vindication, and then disappear. So I'll be here at least through the 2021 British.

All references to the member whose family asked that posts be deleted should be purged from this thread. I understand the request and too much information is on this thread, including this post, so please edit all of them and honor the family's wishes.

I don't care what you say
I don't play the same games you play.

'Cos I've been talking to the people that you call your friends
And it seems to me there's a means to an end.
    They don't care anymore.

And as for me I can sit here and bide my time
I got nothing to lose if I speak my mind.
    I don't care anymore I don't care no more

I believe all the female posters on this board are old enough that they aren't "girls."

Perhaps if you had one female moderator; if one of you had taken the time to ask one female for her opinion, she could have explained what Mrs. X was saying in her plea for help - what at least one of you should have been able to see, really. I am sure there are posters here, male and female, who would have extended the kindness of going through those posts instead of forcing her to reread words and read even more words that had devastated her.

    My heart hurts for her.
