Please to try and work in a Stryper reference every now and then, too. The board would be better for it. Thx.

I wouldn't say it was half the traffic.

And, I'll just go ahead and assume that this immunizes me from further sanctions as it is now official that I am Seriously Likeable:

    21 is absolutely correct.

If you wanted a place where your ideas weren't going to be challenged, this wasn't the place for you.

It seems like the tide has turned, and now folks who post inane opinions can expect their strongly held opinions to go unchallenged by others who hold equally strong opinions.

At least we have fratbros in the news today, so there's something to talk about other than the niche TV show of the moment, or the weather.

The "Everyone Gets a Trophy" generation is running amok. :D

Someone really needs to put a dent in that asshole LTL's huge lead in "likes."

For archival purposes and the innevitable semi-annual board retrospectives to come, please adopt the #StateOfTheBoard hashtag where appropriate.

You've got it exactly right. People just want to say stupid things without being called out on it. That's all they want from the community. It doesn't have anything to do with bullying, stalking, trying to get people fired, harrassing, getting personal, etc. It's only because they don't want to be challenged that people left the board. Boom was only trying to create the next Red Smith, just like the jazz teacher in Whiplash. Bring him back, please, the journalism industry has been lessened because of this.

Has there been more than one instance of "trying to get someone fired"?

Are we all supposed to take off our shoes at security for the rest of our lives because of one incident 8 years ago?

And please, has anyone really been "bullied", "stalked", or "harassed"?

I'd like to see some evidence of this.

People, from time to time get mocked, made fun of, and teased. Where are my pearls! The vast majority of it was in good nature.

People have been fired because of SJ.com.

Also, it seems like every other day someone is posting about so-and-so following them around the threads and harrasing them. Now, plenty of times I think "get over it, it's just a message board." But that's me. It might feel different to them.

You see evidence of this if you read the board regularly.
