Tom Izzo: "This was a big game for us."

No shit? As big as that one against Arkansas - Pine Bluff in December?

Sparty has 2 good players and a bunch of dudes. This is one of Izzo's weaker teams.

Listening to schmaltzy-assed Jim "I had a painting of me in my home" Nantz reminds me how much I really do miss Gus Johnson.

I believe the proper response here is: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

That 7-11 drinks commercial is the creepiest thing I've seen in a long time.

I actually think Nantz is somewhat easier to take this year. He has loosened up marginally to work with Raftery. Grant Hill is a total loss.

What's the proper response to being called a whiner for a joke made before the game was even over? I'm going to go with, "Fuck you, shithead."

Then you're not really pissed about the seeding and the matchup? My bad.

Mostly a joke, or at least it started as one. And I overreacted, to be sure. Apologies.

SD State has no chance to keep this within 20 unless they can play with six.

I hope the golf tournament is entertaining.

It's amazing UVa won the games they did and kept it close against these teams after the Anderson injury. Offensively it wasn't even close to the same team without him at full strength. The good thing for Cav fans is they aren't going anywhere anytime soon, Bennett has a program established. The tournament breakthrough will happen at some point.

Eh. I know that it's March and variance swamps everything and that it's all about who you play. But it's hard, as someone who follows it closely, to look at UVA and not feel like they've hit their ceiling. I get that all it takes is one hot streak and one favorable bracket (much like our friends in Durham were gifted this year), but I look at the UVA roster and don't see anyone who's going to hit a big shot against next year's equivalent of Michigan State*.

    * Early prediction for the team most likely to play that role: Michigan State.
