Anderson was that guy at full strength. Even when he wasn't hitting 3's he could get the free throw line. It was bad timing for Perrantes to go cold at the end of the year too. I'm also expecting Shayok and Wilkins to be big contributors next year.

Even more amazing they were within six points shooting 29.8 percent from the field.

Hijacking this for a moment for a note from the women's tournament: Arkansas coach Jimmy Dykes said after the Razorbacks' game in Waco: "Maybe it would have been a little bit different on a neutral floor."

Final score: Baylor 73, Arkansas 44

Gonzaga just dismantling Iowa. Zags were red-hot in a fast-paced first half, Iowa couldn't keep up, and GU has led by double-digits the rest of the way.

Iowa played its best game of the year against Davidson, then ran into a buzzsaw today. Still, good season for the Hawkeyes, and they've got good players back next year.

Now I can get back on the Gonzaga bandwagon, along with everyone else around here.

Pac-12 goes 7-1 with the 1 being respectable.

A "South" Regional of UCLA, Gonzaga and Utah with the asshats from Durham thrown in. Though as a UCLA fan to does not make up for the fact it should still not be in the tournament.

Wells having a brutal night for Maryland. They'd be rolling if he was anywhere his usually excellent self.

So seven of the top 16 seeds, a one and two each of the twos, threes and fours, did not make it out of the rounds of 64 and 32. I'll bet that's a pretty average bracket year. Also, and for someone my age this is just too weird to contemplate, the lowest remaining seed in the Sweet 16 is UCLA.

    9 of Sweet 16 still left. 7 of Elite 8, All 4 Final 4.
My South and East brackets look like a pig got slaughtered there. Red marks and slashes everywhere.
Only game I've missed in Midwest is KU/WSU.

West Virginia will give Kentucky all it wants. West Virginia will beat the shit out of Towns and Stein inside.

It happens every year. The team people bitch the most about making the tournament, wins at least two games. I was not surprised at all that Oregon gave Bucky a scare. That was one of those, "They're a No. 8, wow..." I felt the same way with NC State, although, I certainly didn't predict they would beat Villanova.

Badgers really need to get Jackson back. Koenig is really good, but he's not the defender Jackson is and, more importantly, their G depth sucks without Jackson, as we saw at times yesterday when Koenig was on the bench.
