Maybe. I think OKC is 7-2 when Westbrook has a triple double this year.

Hard to believe its been 39 years. I guess unlike baseball, winning the division hasn't meant that much before; you'd still get in the playoffs. Since '76, there have been some flashes, Run TMC, the We Believe era, but nothing that look sustainable. The only team that looked that it had some potential longevity was the '93-'94 team with Webber; unfortunately that flamed out so fast because of stupid bickering; Gugliotta for Webber? Really?

This team looks like it has some potential to last; the key is the young core, Curry/Thompson/Green/Barnes, that still has room to grow. I believe the key is the way Igoudala is playing since the All-Star break; before he looked like the most reluctant shooter in the league, even at the rim, now, he's throwing it down in traffic and hitting pullup Js.

Cohan hired some incompetents, e.g. Rowell. I believed that Lacob was a bright guy who would use that knowledge to make the Ws better. He's made some mistakes but on the whole, he's come up spades (West, Myers, Kerr, Bogut trade, Curry extension)

When was the We Believe era?

Otherwise known as The Baron Davis-Monta Ellis Era.

Three years and one playoff series victory is kind of pushing the definition of "era," isn't it?

It was a legendary three weeks.

Before that "Era"; the Ws had not made the playoffs in 14 years; you don't complain. The Ws pulled off the 1st 1-8 upset in the 7 gm series era, then won 48 the next year but missed the playoffs. It was a bright spot.

The 1-8 upset was a very memorable series, yes, but that was really a mediocre team that just barely squeezed into the playoffs with 42-40 record. "Bright spot" is a fair characterization, but one fun 6 game series does not an "era" make. They didn't believe for long.

I admit, "era" was probably a poor, lazy choice of a word.

    Chris Paul went for 41-17-5-4

    17 being assists.

With a bit more than a month as a sample size, I have to say the Sixers knew what they were doing in getting rid of Michael Carter-Williams. Can't shoot a lick. Really can only score from 10 feet or in.

Oh, yeah. When that trade happened, I knew it was going to KILL the Bucks spacing. Really, the biggest, best, hope for the Bucks is that Kidd - someone with experience reinventing his own shot - can teach MCW to shoot. I will say I like the Bucks/Kidd's creativity in having MCW post-up smaller PGs. But they just don't have enough shooting around him to make that work. You're more than happy to cheat off other Bucks around the arc to flash some doubles at MCW down low if you need to.
