Jesus. Yeah, Texas, too. Pretty good spot Marshall's in. I'll predict he stays put and gets a significant pay bump.

If Cal jumps to the NBA, Pearl at Kentucky would make the NCAA's head explode.

I'm betting the Stephen F. Austin guy (Brad Underwood) gets one of the UT jobs.

The Belmont guy (Rick Byrd) is a Tennessee grad and has been to 7 NCAA tournaments in 10 years, but he's also 61 years old.

Gregg Marshall was on a short list when Hart hired Cuonzo Martin, so it's not out of the question.

Jerry Green rubbed boosters and administrators wrong while he was at UT.

In my admittedly limited dealings with Jerry Green I found him to be refreshingly candid. It doesn't surprise me that at times that candor might not be so refreshing to some.

That's the smart move. If Wichita can get pay him $3 million a year, there's no reason to leave.

He would be insane to go to Alabama or Tennessee. Texas would be a different story.

Don't sleep on DePaul. It has a lot to offer a guy like Marshall.

I doubt he'd even need Wichita to match Bama or Tennessee. Just get close and I bet he stays.

He would be dumb to leave Wichita. But then he would be dumb to stay.

They had their miracle run and now with those kids graduating, they will go back to being a nice mid-major that gets to the tourney and loses in the first or second round.

Could DePaul offer more money than Wichita State?

Are all the good players at Wichita graduating? I thought a couple of them were juniors and should be back next year.

DePaul's a shit job in a loaded conference. Yeah, it's in Chicago, but that hasn't helped them in the last 25 years. They have one NCAA tournament win since 1989.

That was a callback from a discussion earlier in the thread. A joke.
