I've watched numerous replays of the final seconds and it seems there was no foul, but instead a tremendous triple-team job done by the UK defense. That said, I'm in no way a fan of the Cats' program.

As the offensive player is running down the sideline, I'm saying to myself, 'Take a step or two to your right, toward the hoop, and you'll draw contact.'

But, we'll never know. If nothing else, Notre Dame gave the Wisconsin (and perhaps ____) a good road map to practice.

I really wanted Notre Dame, and I picked Wisconsin to win, but at this point Kentucky has proven itself time and again.

40-0 is nearly impossible these days yet the Cats are 2 away from a title that's probably going to be vacated in a few years, but damn if this hasn't been a phenomenal run.

I'm actually rooting for Kentucky at this point just for the historical aspect. It hasn't been done in my lifetime. The closest we got was UNLV in 90-91.

I'm rooting for Kentucky because the alternative is likely Duke, and fuck that.

Rooting for Calipari? Not gonna do it.

That's a fun conundrum. I've long held a negative opinion of Calipari, but I'm softening on that stance a bit. He is who you think he is, and he makes no effort to cover that up in some sort of Krzyzewski-esque package of virtue and saintliness. He's just a guy who does what he needs to do to succeed in a business that's measured by wins and losses. I'm coming around to grudgingly respect that. And I'd like to see the 40-0, in the same way I wanted to see the Patriots (who I despise) finish that undefeated season. I'll almost be disappointed now if UK gets stopped short.

I'm not rooting for UK over anyone else. Just Duke. Here's the pecking order:

    1. Wisconsin (Bo Ryan, long may you reign in Madison)
    2. Louisville
    3. Sparty
    HUGE DROPOFF
    4. Gonzaga
    5. Kentucky
    ANOTHER HUGE DROPOFF
    6. Being hit by a car
    7. Duke

She should block out time for Dodd. He'll want the interview.

That was an awesome part of his rant -- after railing against Rodgers' presence, he said he'd be OK with Ashley getting down there.

This is one of the best damned Elite Eights I remember.

Sparty gave me 2 Final 4 teams.

    Wisconsin is my champ.
