Calipari would be a great NBA coach if he was allowed to sign 12 free agents to max contracts every year, plus given the first 12 picks in the draft.

Under those circumstances, he'd be great.

Diamond Stone, that is really his name and not a porn star name, is a highly rated basketball recruit from Wisconsin who recentlt committed to Maryland. Apparently Stone couldnt get the grades to get into Wisconsin, despite the fact that he's a McDonald's All American (and one of maybe 5 to come from Wisconsin in the last 15 years)

Some schools take admissions relatively seriously.

Not to that extent, but Doc Rivers doesn't recruit?

He can't sign a whole new roster of max contract players every year.

Did you bother reading the post I was responding to? My point was that unlike the pros, college coaches don't get extra points for doing more with less.

I think Chris Webber is a really, really good color guy. Grant Hill is useless. Nice, but useless.

You've come to the conclusion thathe cannot be a NBA coach because of a short stint in New Jersey?

Webber was surprisingly good, except when he was regurgitating pre-game stuff provided by a producer.

All-America first team is out -- Kentucky's only rep is Cauley-Stein, the first first-team All-American ever not to average double figures. Kentucky also had Towns on the second team and nobody on the third team.

    FIRST TEAM
    Kaminsky
    Okafor
    Grant
    Cauley-Stein
    Russell
