Saxton is making Mike Adamle look like the love child of a three-way between Gorilla Monsoon, Bobby Heenan and Jim Ross.
I know he's selling being despondent, but holy shit is he terrible.

Finally watched, and, yikes... Some good, but mostly bad. The main event was pretty good. I'm not sure if Lesnar bled on purpose - the WWE is pretty anti-blood now, so maybe he did it on his own - but that added some intensity to that match, and he and Reigns were smacking the shit out of each other at various points. Liked the ending, but I thought there was a bit of a logic gap - Why didn't Rollins just use the briefcase on Lesnar to get a DQ? Then, cash in. But, the way they did it means Lesnar still hasn't been beaten in god knows how long, which is important for the next PPV, I imagine.

Taker vs. Wyatt was better than I thought it would be. The crowd was more behind Wyatt than I thought it would be.

Sting vs. Triple H, a.k.a. the retirement home match, was just so meh. Ric Flair and Arn Anderson both work for WWE; they couldn't do the run-in, instead of the NWO, which feuded for years with Sting? And then, Triple H goes over? I realize he's probably going to be an active wrestler for the next couple years, longer than Sting, but I hope he got a hell of a paycheck for doing that job.

I kind of like the discussed idea on the Internets that putting the secondary belts on Cena and Daniel Bryan are a way to re-established their prestige. I think it could work if they do keep to that, but since it's the WWE, Cena will probably be challenging for the main belt three months from now for whatever reason. Also, while I thought both matches were good, they've probably done enough of the "hey, leap on a group of guys!" spot in ladder matches.

Other random notes: The verbal spat between The Rock, Rousey, Stephanie and Triple H was fun. The divas' match was about as good as it could be, since they gave it some time, but its significance was immediately lessened because it was a tag match with no title at stake. As usual, there was too much fluff and video packages between matches. And Triple H's "Terminator" entrance was some lame product placement. And finally, good lord, the announcing is so, so, soooooo bad now. It has to be Vince feeding them shit, given how anti-face they were during Sting vs. Triple H.

Pretty sure Lesnar's initial cut was legit. That looked like the type of wound you get from getting hit, and he was still wearing the battle scars tonight. If the ring post shot wasn't legit, then he might have a future in Vegas as a magician once this wrestling thing is over. It was a close-up camera shot when he hit, and it didn't look to be any obvious blading. He protected himself but didn't leave his arms up very long.

I thought about the idea of hitting Lesnar with the briefcase, but there was a sound logic to making it a triple threat. If he just goes after Lesnar, then a beaten down but surging and pissed-off Reigns is still in play anyway. And vice versa. Reigns could just as easily pull the same thing, hit a spear as retaliation (or Lesnar an F5), and cause a second DQ to cost him his best shot at the title. Keeping both in play at least allows him to keep the match going if something goes amiss, like it almost did.

Well, I should have elaborated - He could have used a chair / briefcase on both of them. :D Like, over and over and over again. He doesn't care about the result of their match, so, that seems like a better idea than making it a Triple Threat.

Won't anyone think of the children?

Either that, or all three of them are going to be considerably lighter in the wallet. In Jericho's third book, one of the indications of Vince being an ass was him fining the ref and Malenko, who,was the agent, when Batista bladed during a match with Chris, even though they had nothing to do with it.

So, with Cena now the U.S. champion, I see we'll still be treated to him destroying other talents, just much earlier in their progression. Awesome.

There's no reason in the world why he should've gone over Ambrose last night. None.

Yep, came out maybe six months ago.

The other funny thing about the blading story, and how much of an ass Vince can be, was he blew up after the match, and screamed didn't want to talk to anyone until next week's Raw. Jericho feels bad so he tries to call him during the week. Vince screams that he told them all he wasn't discussing it until Raw, then hangs up. Jericho estimates the call took about 18 seconds.

So during the meeting, Vince screams again, only this time, about how nobody called him during the week. Jericho, gingerly, points out that he did and Vince blew them off and fined them all. Batista got nailed for $100K, Jericho got hit for, I think $20K, and the ref and Malenko were out $5K. But Batista paid everyone's fines.

How could Jericho possibly have so much to say that it fills three books? Jesus.

But hey, good for him. I'm sure a bunch of dummies paid for it. #Blessed
