I actually had never had a mushroom-only pizza until recently, when my boss - a Richmond grad, if we're keeping score - ordered one for lunch for the department. I'd always been of the "if it wasn't cut off an animal, it's not going on my pizza" mindset, but once I had a slice, I wanted to put a baby in that pizza.

You might also try to avoid the state dq lives in to further prove your open-mindedness regarding the "debate" we're having.

Wait. You willingly ate (and enjoyed) a pizza with JUST mushrooms? You should be locked up. As should your boss, for including that terrible pizza in the lunch order. I hope he ordered something for the normal people there, too.

For an encore, can y'all tell me what makes a good bagel?

I feel like a Chinese person getting schooled about egg rolls in Belgium.

The NYT's Ross Douthat raised some interesting questions post-Indiana. Most of these you could see coming from a mile away (e.g., should religious colleges that, to one degree or another, adhere to a so-called "traditional" take on marriage lose their tax-exempt status?). A couple of the others were intriguing. Among them:

    1) Should weddings performed by clergy in denominations that don't conduct same-sex marriages be recognized by the state, or should couples married by such be required to repeat their vows in front of a secular or other non-discriminating authority?

    2) Do precedents such as Pierce v. Society of Sisters (which recognized that due-process protections extend to entities other than individuals) or Wisconsin v. Yoder (which upheld the right of parents to choose parochial or other non-state means of educating their children) need to be revisited?

Everything bagel (though garlic or sesame is fine) with enough cream cheese to feed Patton's army, mountain of lox, 3-4-5 rings of raw onion.

    That's a true Jew bagel.

So, eating them with just cream cheese and jelly makes me not a true Jew?
