MCW runs counter to what's working in the NBA these days, the PNR with spacing for 3pt shooters. When the Ws played the Bucks last week, they went under nearly every screen daring MCW to beat them from the outside; when he refused to launch the J, the Bucks had no offense because the Ws stuck to the screener and the other shooters. MCW is a high turnover guy as well. I'm not saying he's a bust because he can play but the Bucks sure looked better with Brandon Knight in Mil earlier in the year. I'm thinking the Bucks feel that with MCW/Giannis/Middleton, they've got the makings of a monster, switching, D, which is true but offensively, they're challenged.

Watching Steph Curry and remembering what a great shooter his dad was, I wonder who folks would consider to be the greatest Father-Son duo in NBA history.

Certainly Rick Barry and Brent would be in the mix, and I'd bet a huge number of votes would go to Kobe and Joe "Jelly Bean" Bryant, although Joe was mostly a journeyman. If you want to go really old-school, Dolph and Danny Schayes.

    Thoughts?

Are we counting Jimmy Walker and Jalen Rose?

There isn't as much history of that as in other sports. Think the Warriors might have what end up as the two best in the Currys (who already rank #1 IMO) and the Thompsons.

No love for Bill and Luke Walton?

Warriors can't lose. They tried like hell to tonight, but it's 11 in a row. They have as many double-digit win streaks this season (2) as the rest of the league combined.

I know of Jimmy Walker but I don't recall him being that great. Rose, I thought, should have had a better career. I'm not sure either had as much effect on a game as Dell Curry, much less Stephen.

Bill was great, but not for a long enough period. Luke? Meh.

I agree with LTL that the Currys will end up the best. Not quite sure they're there yet.

Probably the Barrys. Rick is a top-50 all-timer and Brent was kinda close to all-star alternate status for a couple seasons.

Jimmy Walker and Jalen Rose had somewhat similar and erratic careers.

Yeah, I would have to go with the Barrys right now. People just don't realize or remember what a great, great player Rick Barry was. I think some of it is intentional because he spent a lot of his life being a miserable asshole. I remember covering an all-star weekend and him constantly bitching about calls in a Legends game.

On Cape Cod last fall, a guy named Rick Barry ran for county district attorney. I immediately thought he'd spend all his time in court going "I object!" The basketball Rick was indeed a very great player, despite being the most petulant person on the planet.

Currys have vaulted to the top. Not sure what more Steph will have to do to solidify it.

If we limited it to college careers, the Bibbys might be the best.
