    Well, yeah. That's the point.

Should you be allowed to make that decision?

And, we're not talking about refusing to sell a product to someone who walks into your bakery or flower shop. We're talking about deciding whether or not you want to sell your time and services to someone. To me, and maybe I bring my own biases to the discussion, I think I should be able to decide who I do business with.

And, again, because I think it bears repeating, I would not make such decisions. I have gay clients. I've done work in gay establishments. I repaired an espresso machine for the International Leatherman convention, and I employed a transgender employee.

I don't think any of this is gross, though some of the outfits at Leatherman are a little outrageous.

Maybe bigotry isn't the right word. I know a lot of people who are in favor of gay marriage but if they had to go to one they would freak the fuck out.

My aunt once said, "I'm all in favor of people being able to love whomever they want, even if I find it yucky."

Not much of a judgement call to me. It appears you're refusing to serve the core function of your business during normal business hours because the potential customers are homosexuals. I'd call that discrimination.

I think you should be able to make that decision. You would hope that if you didn't want to do it you would be smart enough to simply say, "We're not available that weekend." rather than telling them, "I think what you do is a sin and I will NOT take part in such things."

Think what you want, but shut the fuck up about it.

The difference is a lot of the people who support this law, and for whom this law was meant to protect, are decidedly NOT in favor of people being able to love whomever they want.

I left this thread a few days ago, but I thought I'd pop my head in because I heard there was pizza. Is there any pineapple left? The thread is up to 95 pages. Wow, you guys are really making progress.

I wouldn't care about "a big fat gay wedding" as long as I got "a big fat gay paycheck"

I look at it this way, I cashed a Gannett paycheck for more than four years, so anyone other than ISIS or the Stasi is a step up.
