Yeah, we've got some Godfathers Pizza spots still around. Not as good as I remember when I was a kid, but few things are. Decent taco pizza, which I realize isn't really "pizza" ...

Same with one of the prime places of my youth: Happy Joes. They made an awesome taco pizza and a real good one with Canadian bacon and sauerkraut. This goes back to Donnie's point. I'm sure if I was introduced to all that today, I'd think they were crap.

I have a weak spot for Sbarro's pizza. I will not apologize for that, assholes!

Letting my food processor knead the dough has made the process much easier, and seems to make for a softer, more pliable result.

My first job was at Mazzio's Pizza. I don't remember anything about their pizza, but they had a good toasted sub.

The Happy Joe's taco pizza helped get me through college. There used to be a coupon deal for a large Happy Joe's taco pizza for $9.99. So if you went in with somebody (leftovers weren't too good, because the lettuce would wilt too much), that was $5 for a whole lotta delicious dinner.

There also was the all-you-can-eat lunch and Sunday night buffet at Happy Joe's. A stampede would break out when they brought a fresh taco pizza to the buffet area.

Pizza Hut has a good taco pizza on its buffet when you feel like gorging yourself for under $10.

I can't remember the last time I saw a Pizza Hut that wasn't a carry out only place. But years ago, we used to go to the Pizza Hut buffet all the time. Their taco pizza was decent.

Shakey's Pizza got me through my high school days. Pizza buffet, with pasta and fried chicken and everything else you could imagine, all for about 4 bucks. And probably still overpriced for the quality.

Speaking of the rare dine-in Pizza Huts: for the love of nostalgia, my wife and her coworkers have a "Fancy Dine-In Pizza" lunch once a quarter or so at the one PH around with a dining room. Then they walk across the street for a Dairy Queen.

Is Round Table Pizza still open? I remember they had those in California and the pizza there was insanely good. I had a summer in high school where every day for lunch we'd either go to In N Out or Round Table. It's fun what you can eat when you have 18-year-old metabolism. :D
