Oh, there's no question he recruited him. The only question is whether he could have gotten him admitted or if the ACT stuff that is out there is just sour grapes.

The ACT stuff has always sounded like bullshit.

Who cares? The point is, Bo Ryan is recruiting the same kind of player he was bitching about last night.

No question. Yes, he's a giant, bitter hypocrite.

Yeah, I find it hard to believe they couldn't have gotten him in.

Bo recruited Diamond right up until the end. I have been told that Stone was accepted. Bo also recruited Kevon Looney very, very hard. A few years ago Vander Blue (another great name) had been a verbal commit to UW. He did have grade issues and eventually went to Marquette. Within a couple of days of him announcing he would be going to Marquette all the details of a private meeting between his family and UW coaches and academic support staff were leaked to the Madison media. Bo is a very poor loser and generally a prick.

Apparently, his daughter tweeted that Stone didn't get into Wisconsin. A bullshit move even if it's true.

I thought the calls that went Duke's way were horrible, especially the clear charge into the chest of the UW guy; I really hated that the calls changed after Mr. K railed about them at halftime; coincidence?

Even so, I give the Duke kids, especially the Allen and Jones kids huge congrats for pulling Duke back from 9 down when all seemed to be going Wisc's way. Dekker, too bad because he really looked good earlier in the tourney.

We've all covered tons of basketball games here.

If one team has a 7-2 foul edge in the first half, the calls almost always go the other way right after halftime. Refs look at the numbers too.

It appeared to me clear as day that Wisconsin played the first half with a priority of NOT fouling. They gave up easy points but the Duke fouls were chipping away, especially inside for Duke.

What I think the Badgers will always regret is not making that extra sliver of effort to really work the ball inside in the last ten minutes. Just one more screen. One more backdoor cut on a possession. They settled for okay shots instead of in rhythm attempts.

Wisconsin has nobody but itself to blame. They had a 9 point lead and had gone for the jugular all season. I guess Dekker was going for it again, but it just wasn't his night. He really impresses me from a maturity standpoint, not just last night, but last year as well. Ryan could learn a thing or two from Sam.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I think Dekker comes back for his last season.
