Stoney - Isn't that nuts, though? We like guys less and less (unless they really develop like Wisconsin's two or the Harrell kid from Louisville or the Christmas kid from Syracuse) the more we see them play.

I look back to the "none-and-done" era and I ask myself - would a guy like Kwame Brown even have been a lottery pick had he gone to one year of school?

Mitt isn't picking the public schools for anything ever. Wait until the Final Four is Duke/Stanford/Harvard/Northwestern. He'll have more money than the Caymans can take.

He had all four Final Fours correct this time, sir. Including the three public schools. He did pick the private school to win, though, so there's that.

It's easy to cite UW being up 9, but that was with 15 minutes left, and Duke immediately made a 3 on its next possession and a 3-point play on the one after that. So it was a 9-point lead for about 15 seconds and down to 3 within a minute. They never really had time to "play to hold the lead."

If you also DVR'd the game at home, you might want to watch the second half and see the completely blown and missed calls. I can think of two that were blatantly obvious -- one with the baseline official looking right at Winslow's foot on the line and not blowing the whistle, and the other being the play that was reviewed and inexcusably not overturned, leading directly to a Duke 3. Trust me, your mind will change.

It's a little different when that player is in your back yard -- as Stone is -- rather than across the country.

Why? He said he doesn't want rent-a-players. Stone is a rent-a-player. Looney, who also spurned Bo for UCLA, was a rent-a-player.

That's a heck of a recruiting pitch. "What we're really looking for is guys to waste space on our bench for two years and then get good."

Nah. I knew Mitt was a lot smarter than the Appeaser in Chief a long time ago.

He's projected as a first-rounder, but I could see him coming back.

I'm just relieved Traevon Jackson is gone.

And now you got your happy ending. Sweet.
