Wow, that is one fucked-up sentence. It's like he tried to write a game-story in one sentence and throw it into the middle of his column. And blaming Max Scherzer for that loss is the height of sophomoric reasoning.

Even more stupid was writing that Desmond hurt his free agency value with the two errors.

Because some bad fielding in the season opener is really going to change teams' minds.

Again, it's stunning that he still draws a paycheck as a working journalist. Absolutely stunning.

I remember that day, not for the rainout, but because I drove five hours for a job interview. It was a Monday. I have a weird synchronicity with Dodger Stadium.

They were just talking about this on the Cubs broadcast.

Oakland's Brett Lawrie struck out four times on a total of 12 pitches last night.

I know the Cubs are no longer on WGN radio. Are they also no longer on WGN TV? They are on Channel 7, the ABC affiliate, this afternoon.

Not unless you're in Chicago and you get WGN-9. WGN America has re-branded itself as a national channel, like TBS:

That's a pisser. Cubs games on WGN in the afternoon beat most of the other daytime dreck that's on.

Not a good start to the year for the Twins. Shut out back to back, outscored 15 - 0 . Nine total hits in two games.

    Must be Gardenhire's fault.
