He appears to have a little support - there's a fund on Indiegogo that's up to $547.

Had the same thought. He had such a perfect angle that the whole thing felt fake to me, like I was watching some rehearsal of a cop show.

Hearing the side of the story from the guy who did the filming is pretty interesting: South Carolina Police Shooting: Videographer Speaks Out

That was kind of my point. Should have used the blue font.

I think the guy looked so slow and unsteady running away because he had just been tased. FWIW.

Exactly. Another reason why the whole thing was a cowardly act.

I usually dont have any simpathy for criminals but come on.

He is running away and gets that many shots in the back for what reason?

After watching that video, it will have to be something out of the ordinary to make me change my mind, not reason to shoot somebody that many times... crazy...

It's unfortunate that someone had to die like this for it to happen, but I feel like this country got a sobering wake-up call this week that, yes, sometimes cops pull shit like this. We were well on our way to seventh-inning stretches in which we honored our heroic men in blue.

    This was the wake-up call?

Yeah, the video really isn't that graphic, but it is pretty damning. Looks to me like the cop knew the taser was at his feet after some type of struggle, and he moved it near the body to fit the story he planned to tell. Too bad the guy caught it on video. Also, seemed to me that the cop spots the guy just before the end, but it's hard to tell. So glad this guy got this on tape.

Criminal? We don't know what really went on before the video and I don't know his background, but one thing we know is that the guy was pulled over for a broken tail light, not a criminal act.
