    Oh my god, EXACTLY.

I still cannot believe that anyone who gets chosen to be on this show doesn't, first thing, go out and make sure they knew how to drive a stick-shift car. The next things would be to learn how to read a map and learn some country/flag matches.

Then, I'd make sure I was as comfortable as possible swimming/in water, and, with heights. The latter would be hard for me, and I'd probably never quite get there. But I think I'd try, anyway.

To me the three mandatories on there are: know how to swim, drive a stick and read the clue! I can't believe those two clowns weren't Phileliminated long before they were.

The way they gave up grated on me, just sort of half ass quitting rather than grinding gears until the stick shift thing was figured out. It is not rocket science and if you wreck the car who cares.

I would have been pissed if it was a non-elimination leg, because they should have been penalized for each challenge they failed to drive to, not just two hours for the first one.

Wender's is so right about Haley. In previous episodes she came off as naggy and high-strung, this week she was a total be-yotch.

I wonder if Tyler at some point will decide he's had enough.

I think I would, that's for sure. What a terrible partner. This is the couple that, based on how they've gotten on and how things have gone with them, I can't believe is still in it.

I'm with Iron_chet about Bergen and Kurt, too. They could've just kept trying to bump along until they got the clutch coordination figured out. And did Kurt even try to drive the car at all? I certainly wouldn't have quit without both team members having tried to drive.

Tyler is paired with Laura. Hayley is with Blair, who has way more self-restraint than I would at this point.

But yes, it seemed like Bergen and Kurt gave up really quickly. They were even moving right along, it seemed, before they just pulled over and stopped. I initially thought there was something wrong with the car.

And @Huggy - don't forget about the other big thing: KEEP HOLD OF YOUR PASSPORT. Seriously, that fanny pack would pretty much be duct-taped to my person. You're running around with a pouch with all of your money, where you're going and your passports in it and you accidentally leave it in another car?!

Me, too. I'm glad I wasn't the only one. I had thought that maybe it was an electric car and had run out of juice, or something.

And that other team was really lucky to have gotten that fanny pack back.

There's always three things, as long as the Race has existed: stick shifts, gross food and heights.

Wow, I can't believe Hayley and Blair won that leg. Or any leg.

As for the detours, I think I might've died of a heart attack if it had been me walking that zip line.

With my team out, I find myself now starting to root a bit for Mike and Rochelle. They don't seem as strong as some of the others in the competition, but I kind of like them anyway.

I'm also liking Tyler and Laura. And I was definitely sorry to see Jeff and Jackie get eliminated.

Morocco looks like a place to see, somewhere where I get the feeling everyone probably dresses up in a suit and tie or a ball gown not just for special occasions, but rather, all the time.

You mean Monaco? Because in Morocco, you might melt if you went around in a suit all the time.

Monaco is gorgeous in real life, btw. And I kind of loved that the detour was a crapshoot (or roulette-shoot?).

But yes, I can't believe that Blair and Hayley won that leg. What the actual crap. Wonder how they're going to split up the trip if they don't win another one (since I highly doubt they really want to go on another vacation together after the Race.)

I too am liking Mike and Rochelle. The bickering is low between them and they're really enjoying themselves. I also am rooting for Aly and Steve.

    Pool update:
Jay Ferrar - Jelani and Jenny 59
TigerVols - Aly and Steve 52
WolvEagle - Blair and Hayley 43
Amy - Rochelle and Mike 38
bumpy mcgee - Tyler and Laura 35
*WriteThinking - Bergen and Kurt 35
*Huggy - Jackie and Jeff 29
    Iron_chet - Matt and Ashley 24
*MTM - Harley and Jonathan 16
*Wenders - CJ and Libby 3
    Jeff and Lyda 1

Yes, I meant Monaco. My mistake.
