    He could put Mesoraco's name on the bench part of the lineup card as long as he's not on the DL or some other roster thing. I don't believe MLB has any rule like the NFL where they have to announce any inactive players.

    Managers can put pitchers' names for the bullpen even if they have no intention of using them that day, so why would position players be any different?

    I'd put Price below Elia (mainly because Elia was attacking the fans whereas Price was attacking the media, which everyone does). He's definitely given Lasorda's Kingman rant a run for second place, though.

    If Price wants to get past this episode he should pull out a bar of soap during his next post-game interview and say he brought it in case he needs to clean out his mouth.
