Yost is looking more like the principal from Beavis and Butthead on handling this.

Some chatter on KC sports radio on idea of sending Ventura down to Omaha to cool off. I think that's the worst idea.

Ventura is the teenager with a 3.7 GPA who also likes to leave lit firecrackers in the mail box when the postal worker comes by.

Sending him to Omaha means his grades may drop because he's so damn immature.

I feel like that was the conundrum the Dodgers faced with Puig. He is this immense talent that just wasn't mature enough for the big leagues, but the Dodgers couldn't send him down because it would likely have done more harm to his development.

Heard an interview with Ned Colletti when the Dodgers were in the Bay Area saying the playoff disappointment woke Puig up to the fact he has to get his shit together. Will be interesting to see what finally make the light click for Ventura and if that light will actually click. Maybe you shouldn't send him down, but probably skip his next start (assuming he isn't sent off by the league first) to send a message.

I don't know what the hell sending him to Omaha would accomplish. Maybe Grienke's shrink is still around.

In a matter of a few months the guy went from relatively unknown to staff ace on the defending league champs and got the payday to go along with it. He also had a close friend and fellow star prospect die and there is still the language barrier. His whole life has changed since last September and he needs to mature and figure out how to live in his new reality. He's not going to learn any of that in Triple-A.

The Puig comparison is a good one and he's a guy that keeps coming to mind for me with all this Royals stuff because I really think an elephant in the room is how some of the younger Latin players do things compared to how white American players read the "unwritten rules. "

I'm not sure running down the line and screaming "Fuck you!" after a comebacker is evidence of a culture barrier.

Unless Juan Marichal and Luis Tiant made that a habit and I missed it.

No, but a lot of the celebrating the Royals did last fall against, not coincidentally, the White Sox, A's and Angels was. I think that led to those teams being pissed before the games even started this month and played a role in how KC responded. Ventura ' s immaturity then further contributed to escalation.

The Angels are reportedly on the verge of trading Josh Hamilton back to the Rangers.

Proof that you're OK as long as there's one GM dumber than your GM.

Rangers on the cusp of taking douche bag Josh Hamilton back in a trade with the Angels.

If this trade gets finished, Jon Daniels is a fired man walking.

The Angels have to be eating almost all of that salary.

If it's something like that, it isn't a bad chance for the Rangers to take.

Rangers will supposedly only pay about $15 million. Angels will pay a huge chunk, and Hamilton will supposedly relinquish some money due to Texas' lack of state income tax.
